Pratik Gupta

Managing Director, Founder

Mr. Pratik Gupta founder of E14 Technologies has designed and developed several embedded systems for US Army, Navy, NASA and Department of Homeland Security. He has considerable experience in development of next generation DASS Beacon for SARSAT applications and project management for maritime wireless AIS based radio design. He also has field experience with designing of 802.11x and Zigbee network devices for remote monitoring and data collection. Mr. Gupta has served as Principal Investigator on a project from US Department of Homeland Security to design a security tool chain to secure wireless network in an industrial environment. He received his M.S. degree in Telecommunications from the University of Maryland, College Park, where he was involved in variety networking projects, such as: improve sensor network tracking capability using CMOS camera chip, developed network simulations for Smart Dust, build applications for Nextel on Motorola iDen phones using J2ME, research video equipment  sensors, indoor location positioning and develop wireless links for firefighters.


Dr. Gilmer Blankenship

Director, co-Founder

Chairman of Techno-Sciences Inc., has conducted research in control system science for more than 25 years. His research interests include applications of signal processing, scheduling theory and applications, nonlinear and adaptive control theory, and the design and application of software systems. He has published more than 120 papers and reports in these areas. Dr. Blankenship is also Professor and Associate Chairman of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Maryland , College Park. His MS and Ph.D. students work at universities, research laboratories, and high technology companies around the world. He is a Fellow of the IEEE.


Jean-Luc Abaziou

Director, co-Founder

Chief Executive Officer of Techno-Sciences. Prior to his appointment, Mr. Abaziou was a venture partner at Highland Capital Partners. He has a long and impressive track record as an international senior executive at such technology leaders as Ericsson and Alcatel. Prior to working with Highland Capital, Mr. Abaziou was Vice President and General Manager of Ericsson IP Infrastructure and President and CEO of both Torrent Networking Technologies (acquired by Ericsson) and Alcatel Data Networks. He has served on a number of boards and advisory boards, including for the French Foreign Commerce Ministry, George Washington University, the A. James Clark School of Engineering at the University of Maryland and the French-American Chamber of Commerce. Mr Abaziou graduated from Ecole Superieure d’Electronique de l’Ouest in France.
